The Permanent Observer Mission of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) to the United Nations in New York is currently hiring for the position of an Adviser to the Ambassador. The position is available immediately.
The Adviser is expected to perform a series of functions to assist the Ambassador in a variety of spheres, including, strengthening the existing realms of cooperation between the OIC and the United Nations, coordinating the organization’s position with its Member States through their respective Missions to the UN and developing ties with US based civil society institutions and media entities.
Qualifications:
1) Masters Degree preferably in International Relations or the Social Sciences;
2) Prior work experience with international organizations, particularly the UN, a plus;
3) Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic and /or French a plus;
